Certifications

At Mississippi Safe and Lock, we believe that in order to be true security professionals, we must continually educate and improve ourselves. The locksmith and security industries are constantly changing. To stay informed of new product developments and to receive training, we are active members of the following organizations:

ALOA - Associated Locksmiths of America
SAVTA - Safe and Vault Technicians Association
MAA - Mississippi Alarm Association
ESA - Electronic Security Association (formerly NBFAA - National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association)

The organizations above have levels of certification that can be reached through testing. After achieving any certification, an individual must attend continuing education classes yearly to maintain certification.

CRL - Certified Registered Locksmith
CPL - Certified Professional Locksmith
CML - Certified Master Locksmith

CPS - Certified Professional Safe Tech
CMST - Certified Master Safe Tech

Level 1 - Certified Alarm Technician
Level 2A - Certified Fire Alarm Technician
Level 2B - Advanced Alarm Technician

As required by the Mississippi Residential Electronics Protection Licensing Act, Mississippi Safe and Lock, Inc. holds a Class A license through the State Fire Marshal's Office. Also, as required, both of our locksmiths individually maintain a Class B license through the State Fire Marshal's Office.
